The great thing about being in California was getting to spend time with John (Paul's brother). I also had a chance to meet his girlfriend, Vanessa. Big John's sister Mary Lou and her husband Mike were also there from New Jersey. Paul hadn't seen them in years and I had heard so much about them.
After the mass and wake, we were going to head to the airport. Instead, we decided to stay an extra night to visit some more. Mary Lou and Mike were spending the weekend with John and Vanessa in Sacramento. So, we got a hotel room close to where they live.
We had fun eating out, talking about old times, and playing the Play Station 3. We did take some pictures, since this was a rare occasion. We really enjoyed being together and it was hard to leave. Hopefully, they will all stop by for a visit in San Antonio soon.
