We had a great Easter weekend! Jessica was able to spend it with us again this year. She came on Thursday afternoon, since she had a dental appointment in town. She got her top braces put on and they look good. She was in pain for a couple of days and could only eat soft stuff. She seems to be doing much better and is getting use to them.
We tried going to Fiesta Texas on Friday night. It was busier than usual and kinda cool outside. We only rode a few rides and decided to go out to eat, instead. Saturday was relaxing and my parents took Sofia to see "Disney on Ice". We went to the bookstore for a little break while she was gone. It was nice. Sofia loved the show and my parents said she behaved so well. Grandpa even bought her a "Flounder" hat.
We went to Easter church service on Saturday night and were hoping it wouldn't be as crowded as Sunday morning. We met my parents there and it was packed. The message was awesome and I got teary-eyed several times. It's just amazing how we don't deserve the sacrifice made at the cross, but God covered our sins anyway! That evening, we colored eggs. It was Sofia's first time and she did a great job of not getting messy.
Sunday morning, the girls got their goodies from the Easter Bunny and they did an egg hunt in the house. Then, we cleaned, cooked, and got ready to have lunch at our house. Mom and I shared cooking duties, so that was a big help. Greg's son, Chris, was also able to join us. We had a nice lunch and we were stuffed! It was a great Easter!
